41028- Emma's Lifeguard Post

This is my third Friends set with Emma in it.  It's nice to see that they moved the settings of these small sets to the outdoors and it thus provides a nice addition to my Summer Collection.











This set comes with minidoll Emma, a dolphin, a lifeguard tower, a flag post, a sandcastle construction, and several accessories including swimming flippers, binoculars, a bucket, and a first aid case.










This version of Emma features her with a magenta bow, a blue halter top with whistle, and dark pink shorts.















I believe I have a 1990's set with a dolphin in it, but this Friends version of a dolphin is only in two sets thus far, including this one.  It looks adorable in light bright blue and has an arched body as if jumping out of the water.









Here is a right side view of the lifeguard post, with Lego Kane serving as our lifeguard.  The construction is welcomingly tall and has a small blue water section at the base.  Our flag post construction is currently topped with a green flag to show that it is a-ok to venture into the water. If you go up the red ladder, you reach the main lookout post for the lifeguard.  In this area is a green briefcase (first aid kit) containing a round white tile which I'm assuming is some sort of first aid thing.  Also hanging in this area is a special life preserver printed round tile and a red flag to switch with the green when swimming conditions are poor.  A small bucket hangs off the left side of the structure and contains two orange flippers.  As if this wasn't enough equipment, the set also comes with gold binoculars and a red lifeguard float seen in only two other non-Friends sets.







The set comes with a small side construction with a sandcastle, bucket with water, special umbrella, and star fish. The umbrella has been seen in a few Friends sets and otherwise mainly in old Scala and Belville sets. See below for close-up of sand castle.

The best pieces we get in the extras for this set are the translucent blue wedge and the gold binoculars.
