This set always seemed to be in limited supply, and taking a look at all the accessories, it's no wonder why. More on that, but first note that while Emma is not pictured, she is wearing a purple tanktop and a dark blue skirt. See the back of box image below to get a better look at her.
This set comes with a small table and stool with a sandwich and Lego laptop, a printed design board and stand, four drawers with four bolts of cloth and hairbrush, a larger work table with stepladder and lamp, flower cluster, mp3 player, mug, camera, and printed measuring tape.
There's always going to be some scaling issues if you want to use normal Lego minifigures with sets designed for other types of figs, and it's never been more apparent than with the smaller table in this set. Just take a look at Lego Kane and see how the table comes up to her neck. Luckily, we can remove some pieces to make it shorter, but at the cost of the overall look. I'm really happy to have a Lego laptop, a closeup picture of which you can see below. I like the idea of Lego model sandwiches, even if they are the size of a Lego person's torso.
The stand for the fashion board is a simple but sleek and effective design. The board itself has a lot of printed detail, like colour samples and fabric pin-ups.
I'm really glad one of the sections in this set comes with two sets of dresser drawers, and in deep purple, my favourite colour. The yellow hairbrush is quite cute and I wonder if everyone tries to brush their own hair with it. I laughed at the idea of the flat 1x2's as bolts of cloth and at first didn't understand what they were meant to be, but there's that Lego magic again.
The worktable is where all the magic happens (and where the best accessories are). It comes with a step-stool, presumably to help us reach those top drawers from the last area. The lamp is a nifty design and is partly composed of a skeleton leg. I find the printed measuring stick a little odd, and was hoping the numbers on it would match up to the height of a standard brick, but it does not. I've never had a Lego camera or Lego mp3 player before and both have won my heart. Even if you don't like the Friends series, this set is worth it for all those special pieces.
