8804- Minifigures Series 4

It wasn't until late 2011 that I found out about the minifigure series'.  I wasn't back into Lego just yet, and it was actually my mother who introduced me to this series by giving me a figure.  When I went to London last Christmas, I purchased a few more.  It wasn't until September 2012 that I decided I wanted specific ones and started ordering old figures from ebay and spent time in my local retail store feeling the packets of the current series (8) for the ones I wanted.  I mostly collect them if I feel they would fit in my "Lego People Around the World" (Lego Small World- LSW) collection.  See below for back of leaflet image.

Kimono Girl (2)- Comes with fan, dress, painted face, and bunned hair with a pattern.  Her dress is very nicely detailed with tiny printed branches of cherry trees.  I'm very happy that her face and hands are white.  The printed floral pattern on her hair is a nice little touch, as well.  She's perfect for my LSW collection to represent Japan.  See Additional Images for back of torso and printed hair detail.

Surfer Girl (5)- I am using this athletic minifigure to represent Australia in my LSW collection.  Comes with pink and white flame printed Lego surfboard.  Legs and torso feature a pink and grey details printed onto a black wet-suit.  There is a little printed symbol of a wave on the center of the torso piece   Her hair is light brown and in a high ponytail as she looks at us with an amused and confident expression.

Viking (6)-  His female counterpart came along in Series 7, both of whom I am using to represent Scandinavia in my LSW Collection. Our warrior comes with a two piece axe with silver blade, nicely detailed shield, and shiny silver viking helmet with marbled gold coloured horns that I rather like.  His legs and torso are both detailed, the latter featuring buckles, brooches, and what appears to be chainmail.  See below for detailed torso image.  He's giving us a barred teeth expression, but doesn't look too terribly menacing   I like the bit of scar over one of his eyebrows.  This is all around a very nicely detailed figure with great accessories.

Soccer Player (11)-  I've chosen my footie player to represent Argentina in my LSW collection.  Fittingly, their colours look quite like what is printed on our Lego man.  His accessory is a fantastically detailed little trophy of a lego figure.  I love when Lego references itself in small ways like this.  Another reference can be seen on the print of his jersey and shorts, where there is a little picture of a gold 4x4 brick over his right breast/knee.  His kit is mostly white, with blue stripes on the torso that continue printed on the back.  I'm a fan of his slightly longer, swoopy light brown hair.  See below for detail on his awesome trophy.

Artist (14)- This guy comes with beret, palette, paintbrush, paint-splattered trousers and smock, and a fitting expression.  I think his accessories are fantastic and as far as I know, unique to him.  This little guy sits near my stop-animation area, judging my work (though I could put him in my LSW collection).  See below for close up image of his palette.
