40076- Zombie Car

I got this little set in September of 2012 as a "Free with $75 purchase" promotional lego.com was running.  I'm not beyond admitting that this car influenced how much I put into my virtual cart that day.  O.o

I like the idea and the figures of the Monster Fighters theme, but I don't like any of the sets enough to purchase, so this set was a nice way of getting a little bit of the theme without having to really buy anything.

The Zombie Driver is wearing a ripped looking outfit with some silvery bits.  The back of his torso has a little printed rip and wrinkles, as well.  One of his hands is brown, while the other matches his grey head.  His eyes are totally white, which is fairly creepy looking.  He comes with a black police cap, but I gave that away to another character.  A shovel comes with the set for any... nighttime roadkill graves?  One of the best bits about the set is the glow in the dark spider it came with.  Didn't find out it was glow in the dark until the first night I had the set.  :)

The wheels on the car are a great fit and the car moves very smoothly.  I like the grill in the front, and the two fangs hanging down give the front help give the car the look of a face.  There are no doors on this car, but the sides have silver/grey flat round studs that I like the look of.  The back of the car is a little barrier with a red reflective light snapped onto it.  There are also little flames coming out of the back.

I think this set is very well-designed and super cute.  Definitely would have purchased it if it wasn't a promo set.  This is my first experience with a lego.com qualifying purchase promo and I hope future ones are of this caliber.
