7634- Tractor

I came across this little set while browsing my Lego Collector's Guide.  I had no idea there was a small Farm theme in 2009/2010!  I hope they bring this back in a few years and do a bit more with it. The only other set I liked in this small theme was the Pig Farm.  Loving Lego animals, I'd love to see a little chicken coop or dairy barn with at least 3 animals in each set and a a few tools/special pieces.


Anyway, this little tractor is fantastic and I was very happy to find it on ebay for near retail price.  Mr. Farmer is wearing green overalls and a blue baseball cap.  The buckles on his overalls are shiny silver.  Nothing super fancy, but he is a simple farmer, afterall.  He also comes equipped with a shovel.  The tractor itself gets 3 stickers (I haven't put them on yet).  It has some nice detail bricks, such as a little stick as an exhaust...thing, ridged bricks near the motor, and a laddery looking thing on one side (sorry my tractor vocabulary is a little lacking).  The cab roof comes off easily (not hinged) so Mr. Farmer can get to work at the crack of dawn.  In the back of the tracker is a little loader bed that can move up and down as well as tilt downwards to deposit whatever you happen to be carrying.  I love the big tractor wheels and the vehicle can move around with ease.  I love the red colour and think the overall look and functionality of this set is just perfect, and I don't usually go for vehicle sets.
