These guys were the first collectible minifigures I purchased at retail stores late 2011, though some were later collected from ebay. I own 7 of the 16 from this series. See below for back of leaflet image.
Royal Guard (3)- Ebay purchase for Lego Small World (LSW) collection for England. Comes with hat and gun. Not much to say for the accessories save that that are fitting and well designed. His uniform is black legs, and a red torso with bits of black, gold, and white detail. He has a very serious expression, with furrowed eyebrows and a frown. A nice detail printed on his head piece is the chin strap from his hat. He's everything a Royal Guard should be.
Ice Fisherman (4)- Online purchase from ebay for my LSW collection to represent Canada. Comes with winter hood, fishing pole with line, and fish. His tan outfit has details that make it look very furry and warm. I'm pretty sure I put the fishing rod incorrectly, but I was just too excited when I got him. :) See below for close up image of his outfit.
Lizard Man (6)- My very first mystery minifigure. Comes with lizard tail and lizard hat. His face is mostly hidden by the hat, but underneath he has a nice little smile. I love that he has spikes from his head all the way to the end of his tail. His torso has printed scales on the front, and the printed eyes on his hat give him a fierce look, though from his face we know he is just joking around. As cute as he is, he doesn't fit with anything I have, so I made him a car from a crocodile. See Below for images of his side and him without hat.
Zookeeper (7)- Purchased in London as a mystery. Comes with banana and monkey. I love lego accessories and this girl has two cute ones. I like that the monkey can be held by the minifigure. A nice little detail printed on her outfit shows a key buckled into a belt loop. Outside of old Pirate sets, I've never seen a Lego monkey, and that one was very different from this. She needed a home, so she now goes with my 7639 Camper set.
Lumberjack (8)- Another London mystery purchase. Comes with special beaver cap and axe. His facial stubble help make him look a little rugged. I love the detail on the axe and his plaid shirt. The cap is sturdier and has a lot more detail than typical Lego baseball caps. He now lives with the Zookeeper as apart of my 7639 Camper set. See below for image of the back/side print of his torso.
Detective (11)- Ebay purchase for my LSW Collection. Comes with detective hat and magnifying glass. Sherlock Holmes, anyone? His colour scheme and torso print fit very well with his character. I like that the magnifying glass actually works. I initially purchased him to go with my 8833- Series 8 Businessman minifigure (Watson). See below for image of side of cap.
Egyptian Queen (14)- Ebay purchase for my LSW Collection. Comes with dress, special hair, and snake. There is a small printed headband on her hair and the colours in her dress match her eyeshadow. I like her makeup and dress but think they could have come up with something else as her accessory. The Pharaoh that was in a previous series is holding a staff, so that's taken, but I think the Lego Group could have done a little better than a snake. Perhaps a small statue of a cat.
