4722- Gryffindor House

This is the second of the two-scene 2001 Harry Potter sets, and again while I don't have the cardboard background that originally came with it, it's still a lovely little set.

One of the areas of the Gryffindor House is a small common room and the other is a sleeping quarter.

Freckled Ron has a mop of ginger hair as is appropriate, and a light blue translucent wand, which isn't.  Aside from an odd wand colour (maybe he already lost his and was borrowing someone else's), he's sporting street clothes of a blue jumper (in only two other sets) and light grey pants.  The inside of his black cape has stars on it.  A little too "sparkle" magic-y for the Harry Potter world I'd think, but things were more lighthearted in the first movie.

The best part of the common area scene is the portrait of the Fat Lady, who to me looks like a thumb with a wig.  She swivels around to reveal a small fire (see below) so that those on the outside can always tell her the password to get in.  The common room has a cozy orange chair construction with flower embellishments, and a table with a cute lamp and mug.  A dark grey owl also perches in the common room.

The sleeping area of the set has a nice poster bed.  Starred maroon cloth curtains the bed, and there is a soft yellow blanket on the inside (see below).  There is a little cupboard for some bits, a purple witch hat, and a red suitcase.  The second animal we get in this set is light grey rat, Scabbers.

To compliment either portion of the set, there are two special wizarding books, each with special printing and 1x2 tiles to fit inside.
