40025- New York Taxi

This polybag seemed pretty adorable, so I decided to buy it as a retired product on Amazon.  Originally though, it was available in Lego Stores in New York  for a limited time and in Toys R Us stores during December 2012.  I really liked the concept of a little yellow taxi, as the one in my Train Station set seemed a bit bulky.  However, what I didn't know is that this car is actually a model, meaning not to Lego figure scale.

Scale aside, it is a cute sleek little car complete with head and back lights, two doors, and steering wheel.  They didn't even leave out the little white sign on top.

This is a torso of a Lego person, trying to fit into the taxi.  I thought a short legged person would fit, but there's not even enough room for that.  Even getting this guy in was quite a struggle because of the way the two windshield pieces need to fit together.  I suppose in future I should remember that if the set doesn't come with a minifigure, it is probably a model and not to Lego minifig scale.

For a tiny set, we can't expect many extras, but here are the two we do get.
