This was my first Lego keychain and I had intended to remove the chain and screw from this and all Lego keychains I got so that I could buy characters I liked without having to get costly or unappealing sets. With the help of some youtube videos, I decided that I would be able to remove the keychain part without too much difficulty, but that proved wrong. My poor Spidey got a little dinged during my attempts with various pliers. Maybe removal is possible with pliers, but I recommend a soldering iron. The keychain he comes on is a simple short chain and ring.
So, my Spider-Man's eyes are a little scratched and the stud on the top of his head is more warped than it should be, but other than that, he's fighting fit. The ease in which his eyes got so messed up leads me to believe that with just about any scrape, this kind of paint will come off, so be careful with your hero. His costumed torso features red gloves, spider emblem, a web print on the red parts, and a light muscle print which is mostly covered by the web print. His back print is pretty interesting, with web marks on his head and a the cartoonish outline of a fat red spider on his back. Kind of like a Spider-Pig...
